MODEL MENTOR, LLC
DISCLAIMER AND LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY
IMPORTANT NOTICE
This disclaimer governs all use of the Model Mentor, LLC website (mymodelmentor.com), its publications, the Economy of Survival trilogy, all M.I.N.D. methodology materials, and all pilot programs and organizational consultations offered by Model Mentor, LLC. By accessing this website or engaging with any Model Mentor program or publication, you agree to the terms set forth below.
This disclaimer does not constitute legal advice. Model Mentor, LLC recommends that any organization entering a partnership or pilot program engagement consult independent legal counsel regarding applicable obligations.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
SECTION 1 — NOT CLINICAL, MEDICAL, PSYCHIATRIC, OR THERAPEUTIC ADVICE
The M.I.N.D. (Methodology for Instructional and Navigational Decision-making) methodology is an organizational decision-architecture and analytical framework. It is not a clinical intervention, a medical protocol, a licensed therapeutic service, a psychiatric treatment, a behavioral health treatment program, or a substance use disorder treatment service.
Nothing on this website, in any Model Mentor, LLC publication, in the Economy of Survival trilogy (Volumes I–III, SK Scholarly Works, 2026), in any M.I.N.D. working paper, or in any Model Mentor pilot program, consultation, or communication constitutes clinical advice, medical advice, psychiatric advice, psychological treatment, or any form of licensed healthcare service.
Engagement with Model Mentor, LLC or any of its programs, publications, or materials does not establish a patient-provider relationship, a clinician-client relationship, a counselor-client relationship, a therapist-client relationship, or any other professional duty of care recognized under applicable state or federal healthcare law, including without limitation the laws of the State of West Virginia.
Individuals experiencing substance use disorders, mental health conditions, or behavioral health crises should seek care from licensed treatment providers. Nothing in M.I.N.D. programming is a substitute for individualized clinical care.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
SECTION 2 — NOT FINANCIAL, INVESTMENT, LEGAL, TAX, OR ACCOUNTING ADVICE
Nothing on this website or in any Model Mentor, LLC publication, communication, or program constitutes financial advice, investment advice, legal advice, tax advice, accounting guidance, or any other regulated professional service.
Model Mentor, LLC is not a registered investment advisor, broker-dealer, financial planner, financial counselor, or licensed financial institution under applicable federal or state law. The M.I.N.D. methodology addresses structural conditions affecting financial decision-making capacity; it does not provide individualized financial recommendations.
References to credit-building, financial stability, income transition, or related concepts are presented exclusively for organizational curriculum and framework purposes. Individuals seeking personalized financial, investment, legal, tax, or accounting guidance should consult a qualified licensed professional in the relevant discipline.
The Certified Financial Education Instructor (CFEI) credential referenced in connection with the Economy of Survival analytical framework is an educational credential issued by the National Financial Educators Council (NFEC). It does not constitute licensure as a financial advisor, investment advisor, or financial planner under applicable federal or state securities law.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
SECTION 3 — HIPAA NON-APPLICABILITY; NO COVERED ENTITY STATUS
Model Mentor, LLC is not a covered entity under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) or its implementing regulations at 45 C.F.R. Parts 160 and 164. Model Mentor does not provide healthcare services, does not receive protected health information (PHI) in the course of providing treatment, payment, or healthcare operations, and is not a business associate of any covered entity as a function of its organizational methodology work.
M.I.N.D. pilot programs are organizational consultation engagements with institutions and do not involve the collection, storage, or processing of individual participant PHI by Model Mentor, LLC. Partner organizations that are covered entities remain solely responsible for their own HIPAA compliance obligations.
Nothing on this website should be construed to suggest that Model Mentor, LLC assumes HIPAA obligations or that information shared with Model Mentor in connection with organizational consultations is protected as PHI under federal law.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
SECTION 4 — ACCURACY AND CURRENCY OF FEDERAL STATISTICS
Federal statistics, research figures, and agency data cited throughout this website and in M.I.N.D. program materials are sourced from publicly available reports and publications issued by named federal agencies, including but not limited to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS), U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), U.S. Department of Education (DOE), U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), and others.
All cited statistics are referenced as reported in the cited source and have not been independently audited or verified by Model Mentor, LLC. Federal statistical figures are subject to revision, update, and methodological change. Model Mentor makes no representation that cited figures reflect the most current data available at any given time following publication.
Where statistics are attributed to third-party research organizations — including but not limited to Pew Research Center, Gallup, NSI Nursing Solutions, Blue Star Families, and others — such citations represent the findings of those organizations and do not constitute endorsement of Model Mentor by those organizations, nor endorsement of those organizations’ broader methodologies or conclusions by Model Mentor, LLC.
Model Mentor, LLC makes no warranty, express or implied, as to the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or fitness for purpose of any cited statistical figure.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
SECTION 5 — NO GUARANTEE OF PROGRAM OUTCOMES
Model Mentor, LLC makes no representation, warranty, or guarantee that outcomes described in federal research literature, third-party studies, or the Economy of Survival trilogy will be replicated in any specific program context, organizational setting, or target population.
The M.I.N.D. methodology is a decision-architecture framework. Its application in any given organizational context depends on implementation fidelity, organizational capacity, population characteristics, staff training, resource availability, and numerous other factors outside the control or oversight of Model Mentor, LLC.
References to recidivism rates, recovery outcomes, retention statistics, burnout prevalence, or other population-level data points are descriptive of research findings and do not constitute a promise, projection, or guarantee of equivalent outcomes for any partner organization’s programs.
Past engagement with the M.I.N.D. methodology or the Economy of Survival framework by any organization does not guarantee future results, and no statement on this website should be construed as a performance guarantee.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
SECTION 6 — SCHOLARLY NATURE OF THE ECONOMY OF SURVIVAL TRILOGY
The Economy of Survival trilogy (Volumes I, II, and III; SK Scholarly Works, 2026; ISBNs 979-8-9949272-0-5 / -1-2 / -2-9) is independently published scholarly work authored by Sahil Kathuria under the SK Scholarly Works imprint.
The trilogy is not a peer-reviewed clinical practice guideline, a federally recognized evidence-based practice, a regulatory-approved intervention protocol, a clinical treatment manual, or a standard of care document as defined by any professional licensing body, accrediting organization, or federal treatment agency.
The trilogy presents an original analytical and conceptual framework grounded in existing academic literature, cognitive load theory, behavioral economics, and professional experience in healthcare operations and opioid treatment program management. Named constructs appearing in the trilogy represent the author’s independently developed analytical vocabulary and are not established terms of art in any clinical or regulatory context.
The formal adoption of the Economy of Survival trilogy as the analytical foundation of the M.I.N.D. platform by Model Mentor’s Board of Directors represents an organizational governance decision and does not constitute regulatory approval, clinical validation, or endorsement by any federal or state agency.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
SECTION 7 — PILOT PROGRAM SCOPE AND LIMITATIONS
M.I.N.D. pilot programs offered to partner organizations are consultative engagements designed to support organizational curriculum development and program architecture review. They are not licensed professional services, clinical interventions, regulatory compliance programs, or audits.
Participation in a M.I.N.D. pilot program by any organization does not create a clinical relationship, fiduciary relationship, employer-employee relationship, attorney-client relationship, accountant-client relationship, or any other legally recognized professional duty of care between that organization’s participants and Model Mentor, LLC.
Partner organizations that deploy M.I.N.D. framework components within their programs are solely responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, accreditation standards, and licensing requirements governing their operations, including without limitation applicable substance use disorder treatment regulations under 42 C.F.R. Part 8, behavioral health licensure requirements, and workforce development program requirements.
Model Mentor’s no-cost pilot program offer does not create any obligation, ongoing service commitment, or contractual relationship beyond the scope of a specific written agreement, if any, executed between the parties.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
SECTION 8 — AFFILIATE RELATIONSHIP DISCLOSURE — KIKOFF
Model Mentor, LLC has established a formal affiliate marketing partnership with Kikoff, a financial technology company, through the impact.com affiliate platform. Model Mentor may receive compensation, including affiliate fees or commissions, in connection with referrals that result in enrollment in Kikoff’s credit-building products.
This affiliate relationship does not constitute a clinical, fiduciary, or advisory endorsement of Kikoff’s products for any individual’s specific financial circumstances. Kikoff’s credit-building products are third-party financial products subject to Kikoff’s own terms, conditions, eligibility requirements, and privacy policies. Model Mentor, LLC is not responsible for Kikoff’s products, services, pricing, or business practices.
Individuals should independently evaluate any financial product, including Kikoff’s offerings, before enrollment. The existence of this affiliate relationship has no bearing on the analytical content of the M.I.N.D. methodology or the Economy of Survival framework.
Model Mentor will disclose all material affiliate relationships in accordance with applicable Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines on endorsements and testimonials, 16 C.F.R. Part 255.

References to third-party organizations on this website — including but not limited to Recovery Point West Virginia, HAWC (Huntington Area Women’s Center), and other recovery, healthcare, or community organizations — are made solely in the context of describing organizational outreach activities. Such references do not constitute a formal endorsement of Model Mentor, LLC by those organizations, nor a formal endorsement of those organizations’ programs, services, or practices by Model Mentor, LLC, unless otherwise expressly stated in a written agreement.
